I want to analyze tensile simulation in ANSYS (APDL), for that the data I have chosen is linear isotropic material Young's modulus, Poisson's ratio and density. I have two volumes, for both volumes same parameter was chosen. Meshing attributes and default meshing settings were used for mesh but I can't mesh my model. I don't know why, most of them said its due to memory problem, can anyone say what is the data which I am missing here?
did you import the model from any modeling software? there may be data losses in many cases. you can do meshing in Hypermesh
Thank you sir but i have not imported my model from other software it was designed directly in ANSYS (APDL) and also i have tried to import my model form ANSYS (APDL) to other software like Abaqus, solidworks and ANSYS workbench but i am getting the same error. But so far i haven't tried in Hypermesh let me try in that also.
Do you use Ansys complete commercial version or student. If it is student version then there will be limitation on the number of elements and nodes and you will not obtain any mesh exceeding the limit. Instead of default mesh settings, change them manually by allocating mesh size to various edges and try to mesh it with hex elements. This will reduce the mesh size.
Its commercial version sir. Can you explain how to vary the mesh size to various edges because i am not experienced with user defined settings i always go for default settings to avoid problems.
Your question can be answered in a better way, if you could clearly define your geometry and the material you used, because some material models don't support certain meshes.
