What is the scope after doing PhD in MRI or CT image reconstruction techniques with machine learning techniques? What kind of jobs I can expect other than academia?
There are a number of companies (typically university spin offs) currently coming up, which are dealing with (XCT) reconstruction techniques and respective software. Apart from that, larger XCT manufacturers as well as software companies would be my primary choice.
Would recommend you to make contact with radiotherapeutic insititutes and/or companies that make software for irradiation planning. You could e.g. write to Elekta. Your expertise might be very valuable in this area.
