I am about to perform metagenomic DNA extraction, and one of the extraction buffer composition is CTAB (Cetyl Trimethyl Ammonium Bromide), unfortunately we don't have CTAB here.
try with STE biffer SDS Tris Cl and EDTA buffer
STE buffer is composed of 100 mM NaCl, 1 mM EDTA, 10 mM Tris/HCl pH 8.0
To prepare one liter of this buffer you have to weigh in:
5.84 g NaCl (molar mass 58.44 g/mol)
1.21 g Tris (molar mass 121.14 g/mol)
0.29 g EDTA (molar mass 292.24 g/mol)
fill up with distilled water to ~900 ml
adjust the pH with HCl to 8.0
fill up with distilled water exactly to 1 liter
Thank you Phani Kashyap S.
