In the attached paper, two protocols for analyzing cell cycle status using flow cytometry were described.
I have not experienced on animal cells, but yeast sexual hormone Tremerogen A-10 has ability to stop the cell cycle at G1 (please see file; Tremella 2D-EP).
What are the advantages/disadvantages for each in quantifying intracellular protein levels?
