I recently ended an exciting and revealing project involving assessing the impact of exposure vessel type and temperature on zebrafish embryo behaviour.

The Zebrafish embryo model is a very promising powerful tool with potential for screening the effects of a wide range of emerging chemicals (pesticides, pharmaceuticals, environmental pollutants) and even developmental diseases.

I am more excited about the spontaneous tail coiling (STC) test, which is a reliable endpoint for screening neurotoxic compounds and their different mode of actions within a relatively SHORT PERIOD (24 HOURS OR FEW HOURS THAN THAT :)).

The zebrafish model is one the greatest and integrative models that would have a great deal of impact on future regulatory frameworks. Trust me #Pharmacist
