Would someone please explain to me what does a negative value mean which is obtained during a cell based assay to test an antiviral drug i.e at 1 μM, substance A has RTqPCR replication inhibition (%)of(-20). Should these results be excluded when calculating p value.

This means that the compound stimulates viral replication instead of inhibiting (if differences are substantial and repeated several times). Otherwise these results should be excluded from calculations or treated as zero inhibition.

Does it mean that the procedure wasn’t respected so there was cell division (human error ) ? Or the tested product has replication stimulation potency ?
This could be possible. This should be tested in separate experiment, without virus.
