What are the best concentration and timescales when pre-coating plates with Protamine Sulfate for DNA binding?

Hi all,

I am using an ELISA method for detecting DNA and have established that Protamine Sulfate looks best for binding DNA to the plate. Does anyone have any suggestions for starting concentrations to bind DNA or if coating and leaving overnight has any benefits as opposed to a shorter coating time?

Protamine otherwise has great affinity for binding for IgM class of antibody. Simply dissolve DNA in carbonate bicarbonate buffer of pH 9.3, and use it for coating on to Wells of ELISA plate.
