I am looking for 3 different reporter proteins (fluorescence / chemiluminesence / enzymes) which could have a fused tag on C-terminus (N -reporter protein - tag - C). I want to use them for structural studies that is why I would need signal producing proteins. I need 3 different sizes of monomeric proteins - ~20 kDa, ~35 kDa and ~50kDa. I was thinking about Gluc or Oluc luciferase (20kDa) and mKO2 (~30kDa). I have checked the structure of Oluc and mKO2 and they should not have problems with C-terminal tag but maybe you know something more about them. Do you have any other obvious choices? Tagged proteins will be overexpressed in E.coli and later used in vitro, so good stability would be also welcome.

You could try out flavin based fluorescent proteins (FbFPs) such as phiLOV/iLOV derived from the LOV domain from Arabidopsis phototropin 2 protein.
