Hello all,
I am working on a project and I have to propose 3 methods to detect apoptosis, better than the one currently used in our facility. I have to cover the topic of activators and inhibitors of the process. We investigate antibody-induced apoptosis (Rituximab).
I've read many protocols and papers, the only thing I found was associated with in vivo processes, for example, higher expression of antiapoptotic proteins (inhibitory effect) or chemotherapeutics (activatory effect). I'm not interested in that. I am new to apoptosis detection, so I am not an expert on this.
The only thing I came up with was extended incubation of adherent cells with trypsin, which could kind of mimic the shaving of the CD20 receptor process. But that was my only idea. What other factors could modify the process? I'd be really grateful for some clues from experts, who have far more complex knowledge on the topic than I have.
