One can have a diversity of skills related to teaching effectiveness, but the outcome of student high achievement depends to a certain extent on the characteristics of the students. Ideally, one can get inspired from some of the highest performing schools or universities in this regard. However, the process of student selection seems to play an important role in their achievement potential. Universities select students on the basis of a set of criteria that have proved to work for them in the past. To that effect, they capitalise on their learning experience.
Perhaps finding the right balance between student aspirations and quality of teaching in terms of pedagogy and content might be the obvious answer, yet it is difficult to generalise it to all contexts.

In my opinion, providing quality education to students along with spending time with them to understand their problems, giving them bearable load (which they can digest as per their dedication and personal skills) are very much essential for making students achieve maximum output and high achievements..................
The question is indeed very broad in its meaning. I think first of all the teacher should himself be self disciplined, result oriented, motivating and freedom loving in taking the risks to make exceptional things. there are always many following but only a single leader but great leader can create many best followers.
