I am checking CD3+ cells in liver using fluorescent immuno-histochemistry. I found some cells are CD3+ but not express CD4, CD8, CD25, and CD56. What are these cells anyway?
There is a small population of T cells in blood that are so-called double negative (CD4 and CD8 negative). You may find these cells express T cell receptor (TCR) gamma-delta rather than alpha-beta. You may see this population in liver and spleen. I think it would be informative to check their TCR.
