Hi,

I am currently looking at a study where they used a 3 x 2 factorial design where they had 3 diets (A, B, C) and 2 enzyme supplementation levels (0 vs 1 %). Thus giving 6 treatments.

Authors wanted to look at average daily gain (ADG) and reported 5 categories for results as ADG for diet A, B, C and ADG for enzyme levels 0% and 1%. I assume these were calculated by combining ADG results from each 6 treatments and putting them into each category (ex. 0% enzyme supplementation for diet A, B, C were 3 treatments and this averaged would give the 0% enzyme supplementation ADG). I am unsure if this assumption is correct as the authors did not mention this.

Further, I need to know the dietary content used in each ADG data point reported, the dietary content of diet A, B, C are easy as it was directly reported but since the 0% and 1% enzyme supplementation levels are an average of diet A, B,C could I also average the dietary content of each of these diets? I feel this may be inaccurate as each diet had specfic nutrient content levels that might influence the ADG.

What would be the best way to enter the dietary content for these?

Thank you in advance.
