I'm trying to perform an harmonic analysis on Ansys with the modal superposition, i would like to know how to apply a creterion for the mode expantion depending their effectives masses, knowing that my modal base contains 50 modes, and there are only 6 modes which have a significant effective mass, i've been told to apply the ''modseloption'' and ''mxpand'' commands to apply this creterion, however, i can't figure when to use thise commands, i tried to apply them before the modal analysis but there was no mode.file, so i applied them after the modal analysis is done but there has been an error which says ''paticipation factor values are not on the mode.file''.
