I am in my final year to get my engineering degree at numerical calculations (FEM majoratelly), i'm really confused whether investing 3 years in a PHD thesis, which can help me enhance and build other competences in this domain, or should i just be satisfied by my degree and get into a nice company as an engineer?
Is a PhD appreciated in the industrial world?
Does a Phd has a chance to work in some industrial research once he's finished his thesis?

I don't regret my PhD because I have cultivated a lot of skills in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering and Energy Engineering, apart from the skills that my main degree gave in Civil Engineering has given me. From an educational standoint, I love my new skills and are also applicable to the market. Maybe I have lost some time and I am actually in financial despair because of it, but this can easily be changed. If you are willing to do serious work and have a research interest you passionate about, then do it.
You won't find the answer in other people, it is a personal decision. Both ways have a good future, just different. I am studying a PhD because I would like to become a professor.
If you want to start your career as an engineer, your degree is enough. if you want to become professor then do your PhD
