I am doing real time PCR , relative quantification for a fungus that infects soybean. What housekeeping genes do I use for this? Are these for the fungus itself? I did not find them for my fungus and trying some for general fungus. Do I need to analyse their stability in the fungus and soybean as many researchers have done before I start doing my real research. NormFinder and GeNorm are mostly used for doing the analysis.
Do I need to purchase one of them? Please suggest.

from my experience even housekeeping genes can fluctuate from sample to sample. nowadays with all available databases and genotyping/analysis tools, it is considered to use more than one HK in an analysis (not rare to use 6 or 10 HK for fine analysis). for you the best way would be to test both HK you know. an other thin/g, if you want to test the fungus quantification, use fungus genome sequence and HK to correct the data.
