In order to assess the telomere length in human blood samples by qpcr, what is the best standard reference one can use for drawing the standard curve? I came across papers which use a pool of samples or cell lines. I am given to understand that we need to know the telomere length of the standard. So how does one know the telomere lengths of a pool or the cell lines?if we can use cell line, are there any ways to know the telomere length ?

it described how you can prepare a standard with known telomere length (TL) and then use this for calculating the absolute telomere length.
you can then use this to measure TL of cell line / pooled DNA for the absolute TL quantification measurements

the reagents you have mentioned are meant for Telomere-qFISH protocol which is a very standard protocol used to measure TL. The advantage is that it is much more accurate than performing TL-qPCR but it is also more time consuming and requires staining setup and access to confocal imaging facility followed by imaging analysis. If it is feasible for you to do all these then definitely go ahead for Tel-qFISH for your samples. Good luck
