I am trying to identify some metabolites from a recently sequenced strain of Streptomyces. The metabolites were extracted from the secreted products of the Streptomyces using methanol, chloroform and  acetic acid. I wondered if there were HPLC conditions/gradient that separate a broad range of metabolites ? Or do i have to use several different gradients ?   I am aware that methanol /chloroform will precipitate proteins.
