I am figuring out the standard curve of Trimethylamine. I used 2mg/ml in distilled water as stock solution. Then, I added 0.02 g Na2So4 and picric acid 0.02%w/v to different concentration and did OD410 . But all concentration have almost the same OD.
It would be appreciated if you help...

I found the problem. As you mentioned, we have to apply picrate-tulene method. In this method powder of picric acid should be applied not aqueous one. Because this method is water free and water sensetive, we should prepare TMA standards with distilled water (0-50 ul/ml) and go through the same method you mentioned. But the problem is related to picric acid which should be powder not aqueous. We have to prepare picric acid solution with tulene not water. Further information is in the file I have attached.
I will be appreciated if someone who has done this test, share us the experience
