I would recommend you to directly refer to standard EPA documents for reference. Most of the journal articles do not accept journal references owing to the ambiguity that arises out of their prescribed tolerable limits. Remember the fact that, the tolerable limits are application specific. Most of the US EPA documents are freely available online.
