Hi all,

I've recently been culturing primary rat schwann cells to prepare for experiments. The schwann cells looked fine during my previous subculture in a T-75 flask. Upon new subculturing and seeding unto a 96-well flask I found the following ( in attached image). The cells are currently on P7. My PI thinks it is a bacterial infection. I don't totally agree. I've asked other PhD students and candidates and they think its signs of debris and not contamination per-say.

The media did not change colors abruptly, and the cells do not move ( after looking at it under the microscope for one minute). I tried to wash with PBS but very little changed.

Has anyone seen this before? Would you classify this as contamination or debris of some sort
