I have to transport RNA (isolated with Qiagens RNeasy mini kit) to another research facility (about 1 hr drive away) to check quality and integrity on a tape station for RNAseq.

I have stored the RNA in the -80°C so far, but I cannot get hold on any dry ice for the transportation. Do you think transportation in regular ice will affect the quality/integrity?

What are your experiences with "short-term" transportation of RNA (without dry ice and liquid nitrogen)? Any tips/tricks?

Thank you!
