I am a junior researcher working on some Nigerian plants that are not available here in Russia.
I have started a crazy though in my mind, about getting dried parts from the plants and try to regenerate them back. What is your thought on this? is there any better method apart from this on how to get the samples fresh in good health? Kindly share your expertise.

Thank you for your response Dr. Ricarda Koopmann , among the samples, there is Boswellia dalzielii it doesn't have seeds. What do you think I should do? I started thinking of using chloroform to preserve the plant material (leaves) before it reach here.
If the cells of dried plant parts (leaves, stem, root, etc) are alive, these can be regenerated.

May be a sort of alive meristems which cam ve microprapagated after a successful preservation and can ve used fir regeneration of the plant . Meristem are the younger cells that dosent dry quickly so they can be used ... more likely to be the apical meristems .
