Do I understand right: when running qPCR with SYBR green detection, it is important that two amplicons (GOI and reference gene) should be of the same lenght ?

Once It is supposed to be relative copy number assessment, using delta-deltaCt formula by Livak et al. - the fluorescent signal will be detected at the certain Ct, so if two amplicons are different in length, (e.g. the same quantity of amplicons will give different signal intensity) we cannot use them for relative quantification. - is that right?
