Hello everyone,

I am trying to prepare a solution out of PVA(Polyvinyl alcohol)_Glycerol_Wasser .

(4% PVA 28-99 and 50% Glycerin)

To prepare this solution I first add PVA to 80degree water and let it stir for 3-4 hours until PVA is completely dissolved. Und then let it stir overnight at Raum temperature.

In the morning, I add Glycerol and stir the solution for 5min but it gets partly hard around the magnet fish and turbid as you can see in the photo.

And the next day the whole solution is solid.

Does anybody know why it is solid and turbid? while the 2% emulgator PVA solution is clear and liquid.

Is it because the used Glycerol isn't pure?

Or does anyone has another explanation ??
