I have no specific experience with these silanes. Often a 1% solution in toluene is suitable. If glass capillaries are clean, they should be highly hydrophilic without any coating.

Michael G. Weller I use the capillary in a glass capillary device in order to produce (silicone) oil in water emulsions within the capillary. The silane is used to stop oil from wetting the capillary. But unfortunately, the silane hardly works.

The silanization process is as follows:

- cleaning of the capillary: rinsing the capillary with DI water and drying it with nitrogen. (Could still be possible, that residue water is left in the capillary. It is hard to dry the capillary completely in the tapered end, which is the crucial part for emulsification)

- dipping the capillary into the silane Afterward, sometimes I flush the capillary with pressurized air or nitrogen to remove silane from the capillary, sometimes I leave it in the capillary.

Maroua Ghodbene I suggest to cook the capillary in owen 2 hours at 80°C in order to slightly let it dry. Also exposing the glass capillary under UV can help. The silane part will attach on the glass. Moreover, tridecafluoro gel will give you a internal part of the capillary completely hydrophobic, not hydrophilic.

Generally to make a capillary hydrophilic NaOH 2M is used + cook in owen 2h at 80°C or UV for drying. Try this.
