Dear Colleagues,
I am new to PCA analysis. I chose fixed 2 components to explain vegetable and fruit performance. How can I interpret the results below? I have trouble with contextualizing the results. The description of the abbreviations is also below. Thank you beforehand.
VEG_PROF=Profitability of vegetables
VEG_PROD= Total production of vegetables
VEG_YIELD = Vegetable yield
VEG_SOWN = Sown are in vegetables
VEG_LI = Labor input in vegetables
VEG_PC = Production cost of vegetables
FR_PROF=Profitability of fruits
FR_PROD= Total production of fruits
FR_YIELD= Fruits yield
FR_SOWN=Cultivated are in fruits
FR_LI = Labor input in fruits
FR_PC= Production cost of fruits

You didn't indicate whether you rotated the two-component solution (and if so, how), so please recognize that conclusions might vary as a result. As well, I claim no special knowledge of agricultural economics.
To me, it looks as if the two orthogonal components might best be characterized as (a) aspects related to sales and profitability (the horizontal axis); and (b) aspects related to planting (the vertical axis). The "veg_li" doesn't behave really well in this characterization; could it be that there is more dispersion in labor inputs for vegetable production than for fruit production?
Sowing, fruit labor inputs, and knowledge of profitability influence relate to planting behaviors. Production, yield, and production cost relate to the sales/profit aspects of production.
