Plz anyone could give me his or her guidance about protein preciptation using ice cold ethanol.
My question is
Does ice cold ethanol preciptation of proteins in RIPA lysis buffer affect protein strucure making it inconvenient for Western blot? By other words ethanol precipttion can affact the performance ofantibody protein binding

For your second question, it is NO, it does not affect your Ab performance! because you know you are heating the protein with a denaturing agent to make your proteins to its primary structure!!
