Absolutely OK to keep in -20C, just follow the precaution by Megha and strictly use certified nuclease free plasticwares for storage and handling. We have been able to use RNA stored in -20C even after 3-4 years, for RT-PCR applications. If your samples are very precious, you may consider adding 20-40 Units of a good quality RNase Inhibitor for added safety. However, RNase inhibitors are quite costly.
