Need to convert ethanol v/v to mg/dl (as measured in blood), i.e. 70% v/v ethanol is equivalent to what mg/dl, assume blood is H2O for the calculation?

Dear Kris,
Ethanol density at 20degC is 0.7893 g/mL and 70% v/v means that there is 70 mL pure EtOH in 100 mL of solution. It means that there 55.25 g EtOH in 100 mL (1 dL) so it is roughly 55250 mg/dL.
