Hi I have been working on droplets, lipid vesicles for my experiment and I have a serious issue that my droplets get stuck on the coverslip. I use the following protocol below to make my coverslips hydrophobic
1. Wash with ethanol
2. 15 sec soak in surfacil (made with choloroform)
3. Wash with chloroform
4. Wash with methanol and airdry
But this does not seems to work more effectively. If someone could tell me alternative one which works would be helpful for me

Wash with isopropanol and place in a low boiling hydrophobic organic solvent with a monochlorosilyl-organic like trimethylsilylchloride, or a silylchloride with longer organic groups at room temperature. Give the glass some time to react, say 30-60 minutes, remove and dry in an oven at 120°C. What you are doing is replacing the -OH groups on the glass with -Si(R)3 groups. It is very similar to the way organosilanes are made from silica gel used in HPLC columns and chromatography plates.
