I am trying to model the sealing of a leaking water pipe within Ansys fluent, using the insertion of a stream of particles into the pipe, which would be forced into the gap by the pressure differential. However, I am having a hard time deciding on how you would go about simulating this. Would a non-newtonain fluid be a good approximation of this? I've read that they are sometimes used to approximate granular flows, but am not sure if I'm starting off in the wrong direction.
