Hi all.
We are conducting a systematic review looking at varies research designs, some mixed methods and mixed studies. Through previous experience the MMAT is applicable Microsoft Word - MMAT_2018_criteria-manual_2018-08-08.docx (pbworks.com).
But wonder if there any other tools out there that can be recommended please? Something generated in the last 5 year if possible. Or if the MMAT is recommended as a framework to review such studies.

GENERATING A CRITIQUE TOOL FROM FIRST PRINCIPLE.
1.Set up the framework of the research by getting a title that encapsulates Research Design,Mixed Methods and Mixed Studies.Example,A Critque Tool for Analysing the literature Review of Research Design,Mixed Methods and Mixed Studies versus MMAT.
2.Search for the literature on Research Design and Mixed Methods; and Reseach Design and Mixed Studies for the same respective years for a period of 5yrs recording the defined targets accurately.
3.State the standard findings for the 5-year period on Research Design and Mixed Methods,Research Design and Mixed Studies for MMAT..
4.Compare the the findings of 2 with 3 by constructing a matrix.
