Just out of curiosity about different ways research findings are reported especially in journal publications. Some may include recommendations emanating from such research findings while some preferred not to include recommendations from their studies.
What is you take on this issue?

Thank you dear Drs. Subhash C. Kundu and Adel Oueslati for your valuable contributions. It is essential to have policy recommendations emanating from research findings/ publications. I had the privilege of coming across some manuscripts that didn't have recommendations.

Perhaps citation of previous research works with same or different results are put in question. As per my idea, all the previous research may be included, if those are relevant. Personally, I do this in my papers.

I think it is best to have recommendations with search conclusions, but not the condition of their existence.
There has to be some kind of home take message from any study at the end, may not be necessarily a recommendation in essentiality...

Dear Olutosin, I do not think that every research should end up with something that is called recommendation. Of course, there has to be a closure and it depends whether the closure will include recommendation or not. However, you have to conclude something, and the conclusion is most of the time recommendation for the practice in future.

Must recommendations be part of every research publication?
Yes it should because recommendation can serve 2 purposes:
Normally during a manuscript review by journal reviewers, if author(s) don't pen down limitation & future recommendation, they will ask author(s) to do so as part of their review comments.
