I am looking to find a constitutively expressed Luc-prostate or luc-breast cancer cell line that also produces luciferin so that you do not have to administer it prior to imaging. The goal is to monitor tumor growth and mets. and NOT look at gene transcription/translation.

Thanks for the reference. We have similar Luc and GFP construct, but this paper and our requires injection of D-Luciferin prior to doing bioluminescence. I am trying to identify if there is a reason nobody has prepared a construct that would permit bioluminescence imaging without need for luciferin injection. Have not been able to find a good reason why this would not be feasible??
