I am looking for primers for molecular diagnosis of aflatoxingenic fungi targeting genes aflR, nor1, ver1 and omtA. Pls let me know how and where to get the primers.
If you are not satisfied with the search through articles idea, I suggest you to design your own. And the steps in brief,
1. Down load the gene sequences from NCBI or EMBL or other verified databases
2. Use the online Primer3 software and upload the sequences (you can also do this step on your computer if you are ok with unix system)
3. Set the parameters to you desired specification (primer length, melting temperature, annealing temperature.....)
3. Select those matching your sepcs (might generate hundreds but see below how to sort that)
4. There are applications simulating PCR and gel electrophoresis and you can use one (mostly the free trial version or you have to pay) and see your selections are worthy
5. Finally you can order those
NB: NCBI also has primer generating system, so it is a plus option worth exploring.
