I wanted to see the interaction between collagen and a therapeutic agent at the physiological condition in vitro. Is there any way to dissolve (lyophilized) collagen type I in interstitial fluid (ISF) at pH 7.4?
Thank you Professor Riaz A. Khan for the quick response. As I had searched, collagen I have pI near 7.2, which makes it less likely soluble in the physiological pH. However I was wondering if the addition of ions normally present in the interstitial fluid, the solubility might change (decrease or increase) or will it help if I slowly titrate from acidic pH to the physiological pH after dissolving the collagen?
