Hi,
I would like to move serum and cell culture obtained by administering pathogens (bacteria) to mice in a BSL-3 facility to BSL-2 for conducting ELISA experiments.
I am aware of various inactivation methods such as formaldehyde, heat inactivation at 80 °C, and chloroform, but I believe all these methods might denature cytokines.
Is there a method to inactivate pathogens without denaturing proteins?
Thanks
