We have a qRT-PCR system (primers and probe) that does not detect the QX variant.
Does anyone knows a universal set of primers and probe for universal detection of IBV?

What is the reference for your RT-qPCR system?
I think you should try primers and probes described in: Callison SA, Hilt DA, Boynton TO, et al. Development and evaluation of a real-time Taqman RT-PCR assay for the detection of infectious bronchitis virus from infected chickens. J Virol Methods. 2006;138(1-2):60-65. doi:10.1016/j.jviromet.2006.07.018. It works fine in my lab and detect strains that we later confirmed as QX with sequencing. Also, it detect lot of different IBV strains.
