I'm wondering if there is a published toxicokinetic model for D.magna (or similar organism) regarding hydrophobic contaminants like PCBs for example. I have a feeling there should but I can't seem to find it. Any tips are greatly appreciated.
Martin, you can ask Emma Undeman [email protected] who worked with PCB in Environmental chemistry, Baltic Sea Center, Stockholm University. Her research interests are Environmental modeling of organic contaminants; Modeling persistent organic contaminants in the Baltic Sea. You can use the Dynamic Energy Budget (DEB) theory to solve your queries (Kooijman, 2010). For the Toxicokinetic, please review Jager, 2011. And for an example in Daphnia magna Biron et al, 2012.
