To modify the coordinate system within Abaqus via Python, one must engage with the Abaqus Scripting Interface (ASI). This process entails establishing a new coordinate system and accordingly transforming the data before its extraction. It requires the creation of the coordinate system, application of the transformation to the relevant data within the .odb file, and subsequent extraction of this data in the updated coordinate system.

Open the ODB File: load your.odb file by calling the method openOdb .odb file.

Define the New Coordinate System: Develop it with methods like DatumCsysByThreePoints.

Transform Data to the New Coordinate System: Iterate over the steps, frames, and field outputs in the ODB. Use the getTransformedField method to transform the data to the new coordinate system.

Save the Changes: Save the changes to the ODB file using the save method.

Close the ODB File: The ODB file can be closed by passing the close method as in the code.

Following these steps, using Python, you can effectively change the coordinate system in an Abaqus .odb file.

Thanks for the answer ! And is there any keyword or option to add to the getTransformedField to avoid the deformation? I want to get the results in the reference configuration.
