We are looking for culture plates with lids that do not lift as easily outside the incubator. Alternatively, any techniques people have for how to avoid accidental lifting of plate lids would be appreciated.

Practice picking up the plates properly and you never will accidentally lift off the lid. Honestly, I never have considered this to be an issue.

I've seen some use two small pieces of labeling tape on either end, but these can be a hassle to remove when wearing gloves.

We use adhesive tape on opposite sides. This holds culture plate and lid tightly.
