I found that yes the test itself is not a problem. The issue is how it is applied and how much weight is given based on results. I have seen that person with qualifications matching the requirements in job description and person specifications have not been given chance to interview because they haven't passed their psychometrics test. My question is if we look at the possible drawback of these tests, can they be actually harmful to the recruitment process?
Thank you and yes I do agree with the majority of your point, such as the tests are not discriminatory perse but the way they are developed, applied and analysed is where discriminatory bias creeps in. And so my research question is focusing directly to find out what are the cons for applying mentioned tests and not considering that there will be applicants with LD.
