I am trying to dissolve 0.1 g of N-Hydroxysuccinimide in about 5 mL of dichloromethane in a round bottom flask with a magnetic stirrer. I cannot get the NHS to dissolve unless I add 30 mL of solvent, which isn't practical for my purpose. Any tips of getting it dissolved?

Probably, you may start with 1 mg of NHS in 1 mL of dichloromethane under steady magnetic stirring and at a temperature of 50°C as it has a lower solubility in dichloromethane compared to water and thereafter you may try adding slowly NHS but steadily while 5 mL of dichloromethane as well.
