Is it recommended to extract RNA from the same cells treated with XTT after seeing the viability results or are people supposed to run a separate experiment for studying RNA?
I thought maybe it would be better to study RNA in the same well. I appreciate knowing your ideas. Thank you

I am no expert in XTT assays bit I assume that you might get RNA from the same cells and use it for further analysis. What exactly is your concern?

In a nutshell, yes you can use the cells for RNA isolation but take care that your cells are viable enough, obviously u will get an idea after XTT about cell viability so if the cells are viable then u can go for RNA isolation without any doubt as viability is maintained in XTT because no DMSO is added for lysis step..

I did that indeed repeated 3times but the results are not consistent with the plate in which I did the assay. I wanted to be sure that these changes are actually occurring in the same cells to move forward.I am going crazy!!!
