Is it possible to transfect cells with mRNA (less than 700bp) using Lipofectamine 3000? If yes- Is there some maximum number of bp of RNA, which could be transfected using Lipofectamine 3000? I found this possibility in Lipofectamine 2000 manual, but not in Lipofectamine 3000 manual. We are already using Lipofectamine 3000 for other purposes. That the reason, why I would like to continue with it in next experiment with mRNA.

It's possible to use the Lipofectamine™ 3000 Transfection Reagent for plasmid DNA, shRNA, miR, and siRNA transfection. But I'm not sure about the utility of this reagent for mRNA transfection. You can try to clarify it in an experiment, but in my opinion, it is much better to use the Lipofectamine™ MessengerMAX™ Transfection Reagent or Neon Transfection
System (the last one is trendy and really effective but too expensive as for me).
I confirmed. It is possible to use Lipofectamine 3000 for mRNA transfection.
