Definitely it possible and there are many great examples of Bioinformatics with biological background in the world. You can go ahead and study whatever programming languages you need in your work
Yes, you can. When I did my Bachelor Degree in Biomedical Sciences, I had training in Bioinformatics for a few weeks. Then when I did my MSc Medical Microbiology, I was also involved in a week of Bioinformatics. That shows you don't need to have a degree in Computer Sciences in order to do Bioinformatics. But of course, the lecturer will come from Computer Science background. All the best!
