I suggest you two versions of high-level journals that do not require payment for publication. In these scientific journals there are sections on medicine and biology.
i have published myself a review in "BAOJ cancer research and therapy", and i was glad to submit on that journal in the beginning.
then, i discovered that they probably were a Predatory site: a site that make your paper online OK, but without reviewing! a waste of time and a meaningless loss of your work! those sites have no real scientific weight.
https://www.researchgate.net/deref/https%3A%2F%2Felifesciences.org%2F has a publication fee of $2,500 but this might be waived for researchers that do not have support. Unfortunately it is a journal I cannot even consider because of these high fees.
The BAOJ (Bioaccent) publisher does charge fees ($750/$500) which might be partially waived for some countries, but of great concern is this is probably one of the Predatory Publishers. I just looked at the one journal that might be appropriate for you to publish in and found articles that were NOT edited (no quality editorial review, so a waste of your money and reputation), and the english did not even make sense in the abstract (which should be the best written and clearly edited to get attention to your article). Please avoid!
oh yes i avoided it. i made my own research and i really think it was a predatory publisher, you're perfectly right. i started to boost my writing abilities to get through some better publishers and reviewers. thanks God i didn't pay for the BAOJ papers, but i still struggle for another accepted manuscript in "Respiratory Medecine". you know....Elsevier are usually expensive. thanks
N. Belloumi - I am sorry I missed the second paragraph of your first posting. We agree that it is best to avoid predatory journals completely. While often not online initially, many of the large publishers do publish for free and you can post your own pdf of the article. And they may become open access in a year or two.
And thanks for the last suggestion, the journal looks interesting.
