I did some dose-response curve fitting and it turned out 2nd order polynomial was almost perfect fit instead of sigmoidal.
I got the R square (correlation coefficient) value using 2nd order polynomial over 0.98.
And the residual plot doesn't look suspicious (despite that the plot is limited due to limited concentrations investigated )

Hi Dr. Adams,
Thanks for the tips. I did convert dose into log2 form but the curve came out not much of a sigmoidal shape at all. So I went back to plot against original dose and the fitting came up as 2nd order polynomial. Just wondering whether it is possible that IC50 curve could be some other curve shapes other than sigmoidal.
