I’d like to ask about the FRAP assay again. I have read some articles which represent the data of frap assay as mg trolox equivalent/L, mg ascorbic acid equivalent/L, or mg Fe2+ equivalent/L or similar to that using micromolar unit. What I would like to ask in the technical way, if we use ascorbic acid as positive control, does it mean that the standard curve based on asc acid and the FeSO4 standard not included in the calculation?
because I found thesis that use FeSO4 as the standard curve with conc. series but still do the ascorbic acid (with no conc series) as the positive control.
so in this context, the equivalence we mean refers to the standard curve right?
