Is it better to use interferons to check for STAT1 phosphorylation with or without a carrier (BSA)?

Hello everyone,

I am planning to perform an experiment on breast cancer cell lines treated with type I and type II interferons to see tyrosine phosphorylation of STAT1 by western blot. Would you advise to use interferons with or without a carrier (BSA)?

The stability of IFNs are increased in carrier such as BSA so I would include it in the assays.
